Congratulations to Francesca Bellei for winning the 2018 A. Owen Aldridge Prize from the ACLA for her essay entitled “Bilingual Translations: Plautus, Lorenzo Da Ponte, and Guillermo Cabrera Infante.” Francesca will be honored at the ACLA Convention at UCLA next month.

The Aldridge Prize is awarded annually to one graduate student at the annual meeting of the American Comparative Literature Association. The purpose of this competition is to encourage and recognize excellence in scholarship among graduate students and to reward the highest achievement by publication. The winning essay gets published in Comparative Literature Studies published by Pennsylvania State University Press.
