Congratulations to Delia Ungureanu on the advance publicity she’s already receiving for her new book From Paris to Tlön: Surrealism as World Literature, due out from Bloomsbury in November, with endorsements using words like “major” and “scintillating.” While winding up running this year’s session of the Institute for World Literature in Copenhagen in July, she was interviewed by a reporter from PBS on her discovery of an unknown source for Nabokov’s Lolita in the writings of Salvador Dalí. The PBS article quickly sparked articles in the Huffington Post, on Jezebel and on sites in Spain and Japan, and the news has been reblogged all over, from Argentina to Belarus, England, Sweden, Portugal, Turkey, Indonesia, the Philippines, and points beyond. Inspired by this response, Bloomsbury is bringing the book out simultaneously in paperback as well as hardcover. World literature making a splash on the wordwide web!
