Congratulations to Tessa Haining ’23 for being awarded a Rhodes Scholarship!
Tessa Haining, a joint concentrator in Chemistry and Comparative Literature (’23), is off to Oxford this fall. Last spring, she wrote her thesis on Kafka and Deleuze under the direction of Dr. Thomas Wisniewski and the mentorship of Professor Marc Shell; at Oxford, she will be pursuing a degree in Modern Languages.

Founded as a graduate program in 1904 and joining with the undergraduate Literature Concentration in 2007, Harvard’s Department of Comparative Literature operates at the crossroads of multilingualism, literary study, and media history.
