Our Alumna Nina Beguš (PhD ’20) has published her paper, Experimental Narratives, in Nature’s journal Humanities and Social Sciences Communication!
The paper compares human-written stories with LLM-generated stories in their thematic prowess, cultural imaginary, and narrative skills. The behavioral experiment, conducted on the MTurk platform, was funded with the Mind, Brain, & Behavior graduate award.
Many media outlets have covered the paper, including The Financial Times, The Independent, Tech Xplore, Haaretz, Berkeley News, Scientias, Forward Pathway, Independent Turkçe, LaSexta, CNN Brasil.
Founded as a graduate program in 1904 and joining with the undergraduate Literature Concentration in 2007, Harvard’s Department of Comparative Literature operates at the crossroads of multilingualism, literary study, and media history.
