We’re excited to launch a new speaker series, English Debates, aimed at addressing some of the most pressing topics in our culture today. Intended for students and faculty across the Boston area, these discussions are meant to highlight the role of English as a discipline through lively debate and exploration.
Professor Martin Puchner and the English Department are organizing this two-part series of debates that will be held during the fall, beginning September 24th, concerning some of the most relevant topics of modern society and their impact on the study of English. The debates focus on the presence of AI content in creative and academic circles, and what its use may mean for the future of art and creativity. The events will feature the valued participation of faculty from the Harvard English department.
These events are open to the public, and all attendees are welcome!
