Translators and classicists Susannah Wright and Scott McGill will workshop translations in progress by Harvard students in this session, open to observation by the public.
Susannah Wright is an assistant professor of classical studies and Roman history at Rice University; she received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2024.
Scott McGill is Deedee McMurtry Professor in Humanities at Rice University.
Their new translation of Virgil’s Aeneid was published by Norton in August 2025, complementing Emily Wilson’s translation of Homer’s epics.
