Thomas Wisniewski’s documentary film project, “A Winter’s Tale: Karen Blixen in America,” was recently awarded a grant from the Provostial Fund for the Arts and Humanities in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
The award will contribute to hiring two undergraduate research assistants, who will join the team of researchers based in Copenhagen, Paris, New York, and Boston, and to inviting scholars from Denmark to Harvard in Fall 2023 for a series of lectures and interviews in connection with Dr. Wisniewski’s interdisciplinary seminar: Literary Biography & Documentary Film” (Comp Lit 102Y)
Founded as a graduate program in 1904 and joining with the undergraduate Literature Concentration in 2007, Harvard’s Department of Comparative Literature operates at the crossroads of multilingualism, literary study, and media history.
