Our Chair Professor Panagiotis Roilos would like to share the fantastic news that our dearest Professor Greg Nagy has been named by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation as one of the 23 members of that Foundation’s 2026 Class of Great Immigrants.
As the Foundation stresses, “The 2026 Class of Great Immigrants represents naturalized citizens from 21 countries who are leaders across academia, the arts, business, medicine, sports, science, technology, engineering, and math.” Further details about this distinction may be found here.
Please join us in congratulating Greg on this most richly deserved recognition, which makes each and all of of us very proud indeed!
Founded as a graduate program in 1904 and joining with the undergraduate Literature Concentration in 2007, Harvard’s Department of Comparative Literature operates at the crossroads of multilingualism, literary study, and media history.
